Produce gathering hikes

Welcome to the unique and clean Finnish forest that is filled with different kinds of produce to gather. We don't often have the time to notice all of the things the  forest has to offer. Gathering season starts on May when the wild herbs are at their best. After mid-July the blueberries and the mushrooms are starting to be ripe  enough to be gathered and they can be gathered until late Autumn. 

On our gathering hikes we get to know the best produce of the season. Gathering seasons vary and during each season there are multiple changes in the life of the forest. We cannot make any promises on the size of the haul. 

At the end of the hike we will sit down and revise what we have found. The guide will serve something small to taste. The guide will have great advice through their own experience. Our collaborator Natural Resources Producer Päivi-Angervo will act as your guide. The gathering seasons are approximately the following:

• 1.5-30.7 Wild herbs
• 15.7-15.10 Berries
• 30.7-30.10 Mushrooms
