Our sound baths are led by Kati, who has completed training in the Peter Hess® sound relaxation method. The method's teaching emphasises responsibility and respect for each person's sensitivity and individuality.
Singing bowl relaxation is based on sound waves. When the guide gently strikes a hand-hammered Tibetan singing bowl with a mallet, the bowl begins to vibrate and produce a soft, long-lasting tone. The sound isn't loud but pleasantly gentle, and it relaxes and calms the mind.
At the start, the guide tells you about the singing bowls and the sound bath. Then everyone lies down, and the guide gradually leads the group towards the state between sleep and wakefulness. Many people fall asleep – and that's perfectly fine. A sound bath lasts 60 minutes, of which the singing bowls are played for 45 minutes.
Who is a sound bath for, and where is it held?
A sound bath suits any group looking for a break from the daily rush: team wellbeing days, bachelor and bachelorette parties, associations and groups of friends. The singing bowls are not placed on the body – they are played around the participants.
We organise sound baths widely across South-East Finland, for example in Lappeenranta, Kouvola, Imatra, the Kotka-Hamina region, Savitaipale and Mikkeli. Suitable venues:
- Tykkimäki Resort, Kouvola: we arrange the space for you, room rental €200, up to 16 people
- Your own space: the room should be quiet and free from outside noise. Setting up takes about an hour, depending on the group size.
- Other venues: we'll help you find a suitable space in other towns
- Outdoors: in summer, nature is a wonderful setting for a sound bath – and you can end it with campfire coffee and stick bread
Please keep in mind when planning your day that sound baths and alcohol don't go together.

- Price: €25 per person (incl. 25.5% VAT)
- Minimum charge: €250 per group – smaller groups are welcome too

Sound bath FAQ
How much does a sound bath cost?
A sound bath costs €25 per person (incl. VAT), with a minimum charge of €250 per group. If we rent the space for you, the room rental is charged on top – for example €200 at Tykkimäki Resort.
What happens during a sound bath?
Participants lie on mats while a Peter Hess® trained guide plays Tibetan singing bowls around them. A sound bath lasts 60 minutes, of which the bowls are played for 45 minutes. Many people fall asleep during the relaxation.
Is a sound bath suitable for everyone?
Yes. The singing bowls are not placed on the body but played around the participants, and the sound is gentle. The only restriction is that sound baths and alcohol don't go together.
Where is the sound bath held?
Across South-East Finland. In Kouvola we hold sound baths at Tykkimäki Resort, and your own quiet space works too. We'll also help you find a venue in other towns.
What should I bring to a sound bath?
Just comfortable, relaxed clothing. We bring the mats, pillows and blankets.
Can a sound bath be held outdoors?
Yes. In summer, nature is a wonderful setting for a sound bath, and you can add a campfire meal afterwards, such as campfire coffee and stick bread.
Nuotioruokailut
Päivän kruunaa ruoka. Meiltä onnistuvat niin pienet evästykset kuin isommatkin ruokailut luonnon helmassa, ja nuotioruokailun voi tilata minkä tahansa aktiviteettimme yhteyteen. Tässä suosituimmat vaihtoehdot:
- Tikkupullaa ja nokipannukahvi tai -tee – 13 € / hlö. Pullat paistetaan itse nuotiolla. Onnistuu useimmissa kohteissa.
- Mustikkapiirakkaa ja nokipannukahvi tai -tee – 20 € / hlö. Tuoretta, itse tehtyä mustikkapiirakkaa.
- Lohikeitto, ruisleipää, kahvi tai tee – 27,50 € / hlö. Paikan päällä valmistettu lohikeitto lämmittää erityisesti talvella.
- Loimulohi, caesar-salaatti, ruisleipä, kahvi tai tee – 35 € / hlö. Lohi loimutetaan paikan päällä avotulella.
